SUPPLEMENTS FOR BEGINNERS
In a perfect world, no one would need supplements. However, because of modern day living (poor dietary choices, daily stress, and toxic overload from everyday products that most are using, everyone NEEDS supplements in order for our bodies to run how they were designed to. We aren't getting nearly the amount of nutrients or good things that we are supposed to. Even if you're a very healthy eater like I am, our soil today has been depleted of so many nutrients that used to be in it, which then makes our food have significantly less nutrients.
When most people have a symptom, their first thought is to "cover it up" instead of taking the time to figure out why their body is giving them that symptom. Is it because it's lacking a certain vitamin, mineral, or nutrient? Is it because a certain organ isn't getting enough support or needs to be cleansed? Supplements are such an important key to maintaining good health!
Does supplement brand matter?
Absolutely! Just like companies make cheap, synthetic versions of essential oils, vitamin and supplement companies do the same thing.
When most people decide that they want to start taking vitamins, they run to the grocery store and grab whatever cheap one they can find. I'll say it over and over again: you get what you pay for! This is the most true with health products like food, oils, and supplements!
Those cheap supplements are synthetic, lab made vitamins. Synthetic vitamins are not well processed or used by our body and in fact, I would argue that they do way more damage than good. They really don't do any good at all, if I'm being truthful! When taking supplements, you want to make sure that you are using good quality, preferably whole food, plant-based supplements. This means that the vitamins, nutrients, and minerals in those supplements are from plants (where we were intended to get our vitamins, nutrients, and minerals from in the first place!)

How do I know which supplements to take?
There are some base supplements that I believe, from my research, that every single person should be taking daily. Ningxia Red is the number one! (Learn more about that here!) but beyond that, there are several factors that would help determine what your body needs supplement wise.
